Chick-fil-A leadership launch has given me an opportunity to learn  and grow new skillsets. I appreciate the opportunity that the Leader Launch gives to young, recently graduated people to get hands-on experience in an industry where the skills are universal.

And I absolutely appreciate the opportunity when there were no other opportunities for me. And I am learning that my personal leadership development is in my own hands, and in many cases, no one will be there to “hold my hand”. Although I am a person who sometimes does need direct instruction or direct guidance, I am learning that I need to be adaptable in finding my own ways to lead without being told what to do. 

Leader Launch is an incredible opportunity and joining the program is one of the best decisions I made in my early career. Launch allowed me to learn about myself and my leadership style, develop strong business acumen, and gain friendships that lasted well beyond my time in the restaurant.

Leader Launch gives you the rare opportunity to learn all aspects of running a restaurant business. During my time in the program I was able to explore the different areas of hospitality, marketing, recruiting and developing a staff, and discovering how to run a profitable business.

What I enjoyed the most about Leader Launch was the personal development that I received from my Operator. Through his influence and willingness to give me unique leadership opportunities, I made the decision to pursue my own goal of being a Chick-fil-A Operator. Leader Launch gave me the mentors, tools, and resources necessary for me to achieve this goal. Today, I am a Chick-fil-A Operator in Wilmington, Delaware. I will forever be grateful for the opportunity I had to grow through Leader Launch. If you want to pursue a career with Chick-fil-A, this is an ideal place for you to start. 

Looking back on my time in Leader Launch, I built relationships and achieved results that I will carry for a lifetime. When I came into the program, I was a month removed from college and honestly did not know what I wanted to do with my career. I took a leap and moved twelve hours away from home to work in a restaurant that was completely new to me. From there, I created and owned results in HR, Financial Return, and most importantly in the relationships with my colleagues.

My operator told me, “You have to be passionate about leading people different than you” and that is something that I saw every day in our restaurants as I interacted with people from every walk of life. The opportunity to lead and invest in people is something that not everyone gets to experience but was tremendously valuable during my time in the program.

Leader Launch was not easy, but the reward of it was worth every second. I now work with Chick-fil-A Inc., helping to open new restaurants and operating stores that are in transition between franchisees. That role, like other Leader Launch alumni, will hopefully result in me being selected for my own Chick-fil-A franchise in the near future! I could not have been any happier about my time in Leader Launch and I wish everyone could have an opportunity to care for a business the way I did.

After graduating from college in 2018, I began working with a fortune 500 company. Between Alaska and Arizona, I spent time working in food & beverage and hospitality management. After losing my position due to the COVID-19 Quarantine, I was recommended for Leader Launch and the opportunity to move to Chick-fil-A. This experience has been nothing short of amazing! The amount of support and care provided by your operator is unmatched. They truly care about you, not just the business.

Coming into this program I thought I knew how to lead others. I may have, but I am now learning how to do it effectively, while creating and sustaining both results and relationships.

This program will challenge you in ways that you won’t see coming. But it is these challenges that when conquered will develop you both personally and professionally, more than you can imagine.

My interest in Leader Launch grew through it being presented differently than most professional careers. Being a business management major, I always intended on being a part of a major corporation, but with Leader Launch it gives me to learn every aspect of the business. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to move up to DC and begin to own different parts of the business as I grow through the program. 

Since being in Launch, I have realized there is a high level of autonomy and flexibility that allows me to grow personally and professionally through this opportunity. Throughout this journey you learn every aspect of learning how to run a successful business and as I continue this journey, I hope to become a Chick-fil-A operator one day. 

Leader Launch is not your typical entry-level job. You have the chance to work directly alongside the operator as well as have a stake in the business from your first day. I am currently working on the outside sales aspect of the business learning about human resources, finances, and marketing. The experiences and lessons I have learned throughout my journey here are invaluable because I know this is the only career path where I could gain these holistic insights into a business.

When I was preparing to graduate I was not sure what career I was looking for.  When I first heard about Leader Launch I was instantly intrigued. After some consideration, I chose to move to DC and pursue a career with Chick-fil-A. 

With this program I work side by side with an operator who has helped others and launched them into successful careers. 

The biggest difference between Leader Launch and other entry level jobs is that I, as a director, have a stake in the business. I was presented with leadership opportunities on day one, and that is something that is rare for a position for a recent college graduate. I am able to work in multiple parts of the business, including finance, marketing and human resources.  I also am learning valuable lessons in customer service, and how to provide lasting experiences for guests of Chick-fil-A. Leader Launch is a great way to start working for Chick-fil-A and get valuable experience in the business world.

The Leader Launch program has exposed me to so many different areas of the business and has allowed me to not only learn these areas but also take ownership and provide results. This position has challenged me in several different and exciting ways both within my professional and personal life, which I believe to be an experience unparalleled to any other. As a marketing director I am responsible for evaluating and developing marketing strategies as well as promoting the business to help maximize sales.

Straight out of college, we are presented with multiple possibilities of where we want to go and what we want to do, yet I didn’t know what career I wanted for myself. After hearing about the Leader Launch program, I took a big shot and decided to apply. Since then it has been the best decision I’ve ever taken because it made me realize that I wanted a career with Chick-fil-A.

Throughout the program I have received tremendous support, coaching, mentorship, and development, while working alongside my Operator. I am so thankful for the skills, growth, and relationships that I have already gained here and I’m excited to launch into a meaningful and valuable career with Chick-fil-A.
